You evolved your species from simple cell to inquisitive creatures to organized tribe to domineering civilization to spacefaring explorers. Now do it all over again with creatures unlike any you’ve seen before, thanks to the SPORE: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack. Full of stuff both adorable and ghastly, this collection features 72 body parts, 48 paint styles (12 base layers, 12 coat layers, 12 detail layers, and 12 complete styles), 24 test drive animations, and two editor backgrounds. You supply the imagination.

SPORE Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

Tens of millions of creatures have been uploaded to the official SPOREpedia since the game’s launch, but there’s always room for more. Perhaps you’d like to create something with big batting eyelashes — drawing unsuspecting creatures to their doom when they encounter its gaping mouth full of razor-sharp teeth. Or maybe you’d prefer to take your creativity in one direction or the other, taking advantage of the Parts Pack’s adorable paws, vicious thorny plates, floppy ears, piercing claws, and more.

When you’re done with the design work, apply one of the new paint styles, such as patchwork skin or a pastel color scheme. Watch your creature in action with the new test-drive animations, such as flirting, doing the robot dance, stumbling around like a zombie, or laughing like an evil genius. The two new backgrounds are split, of course, between creepy and cute.

Your Creatures Meet Their Maker

Whether you build your new beasts during the game’s creature phase or design them in the Creature Creator, you can add them to the SPOREpedia so they will populate the worlds visited by you and other players. You may find yourself face-to-face with one of them during the space phase, and in that moment you might wish you hadn’t included those vicious claws. Maybe next time you should go for those oversized puppy dog eyes and the walrus teeth.

Then again, nothing you create could ever match the ferocity of the Grox Empire, whose cyborg aliens protect the galactic core from intruders. If you can penetrate their defenses and access the core, you’ll meet Steve. You can decide for yourself if he’s creepy or cute.
